Remember This Day

The news headlines reported today
Brought me to my knees to pray
For the lost lifes that were taken
Oh for them my heart was breaking

The killing of innocent, those unaware
As the nation tuned in to stare
Helpless to stop the madness
Causing pain, heartache and sadness

Senseless attacks upon our nation
While our troops ready at ever station
For more fighting to protect our land
So freedom can be enjoyed by every woman and man

Remember the families who have lost
What its done to them, and what it cost
To see the demise and devestation
Of several great buildings in our nation

Pray for the families, pray for friends
Pray that all this craziness will end
Pray that God will take care of us all
America stand up proud and tall

These times will be tough as we all know
As our nation stands together to show
The world that the red, white and blue
Stands for freedom and all that is true
